A Novel Dynamic Cooperative Traffic Control Algorithm for the Reduction of Traffic Delay

One of the most serious and worsening problems in much world is traffic congestion, which represents an undoubted menace to quality urban life, including wasting time, environmental pollution. Therefore, this study proposes a new dynamic cooperative control algorithm based on Vehicle-to-Infrastructure connections solve problem. The proposed model contains three parts. First all, when each vehicle enters communication zone, it sends its estimated range arrival time center intersection; then optimal passing sequence calculated by dynamically grouping compatible trajectories with respect related safety constraints; finally, optimizes appropriate speed profile given enter intersection, sent center. Several simulation cases are executed for different volumes, whose results prove that vehicles under can pass intersection less travel compared traditional methods other algorithms. method reduce delay improve efficiency.
